8 and 9 Months

Today Tessa is 9 months old! And it looks as though I didn't even post anything about 8 months since our life has been so crazy. So readers digest versions of both months.

8 Months:

-Tessa thinks high-centering on her belly and kicking her legs and waving her arms around is crawling. It looks like swimming. And she doesn't go anywhere. But she tries.
-Likes baby food, except for carrots. She literally was yelling at me when I was feeding them to her. And I couldn't figure out why, until I put them away and gave her something else. She'll only eat carrots if they're combined with peas, or something else.
-Was SO GOOD for me on the plane rides. She just wanted to grab everyone and everything so that trip was more exhausting for me than her.
-Still has just 2 teeth

She wrinkles her nose now

 She tries...

 Very hard...

And is so proud of herself

She learned to pull herself up to stand

A little bit of her "crawling"

9 Months:

-She scrunches up her nose and breaths loudly through it, lifts her chin and smiles really big, when she's really happy. It is awesome.
-She gets upset when Ella walks away from her, but also gets upset when Ella touches her. Ella likes to give Tessa hugs and kisses, and doesn't know her own strength. It's only a matter of time before she'll be able to walk with her, and run away from her.
-Still isn't crawling. Sarah has hardwood floors so she slides around on her belly.
-Loves regular food
-All the hard work we did in making her a great sleeper was shot when we got to CA, she's a terrible napper and rarely sleeps through the night. I'm so sad about it. And I don't think it'll get better until we get into our new place
-Loves to dance
-Would rather stand than do anything else

She got a zoo for Christmas
She loves her motorcycle

And some good news! Mitch will only be in Chicago for 2 months instead of 3 now! His last month of training will be wherever we are located, which they haven't told us where that is yet... but, it's a whole month we get to be together again, including Tessa's 1st Birthday!
Mitch left for Chicago 2 days ago, and I'm just hoping it goes by in a flash.
That's all! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year
