A couple weeks ago I had a birthday. A few weeks before that we took a trip to Catalina Island which was my birthday present. And we spent a little more money than we should have, but it was so worth it :)
Anyway, the night before my actual birthday day, I had to work. So I came home to flowers, a letter, my favorite breakfast in bed, and a SPOTLESS house. And when I say spotless...I mean the floors were mopped, the trash was out, allllll the laundry was done AND folded AND put away. It was perfect. I almost cried. Because of the letter, not the house...
well maybe everything.
So then I slept...most of the day :) MMmm after 9 nights in a row, it was close to death deep sleep.
When I finally rose from my grave within the tomb, which I will now call the bedroom, we went shopping! I LOOOVE shopping. Mitch took me to get the things I've been totally in love with for a while now. Then after much deliberation on my part, we went to Terra Mia...the best pizza. ever. And when you get Terra Mia, you HAVE to get gelato as well. So we did. Then, we went shopping again :) After more deliberation... (and I am using this word for a reason because when I have to make decisions, it's a process...I'll have to tell you about it sometime.)...we rented a movie.
The next day I floated down the river with some girls from work, and then Mitch worked his tail off getting everything together for our friends to come over for a barbeque. And I got ice cream cake :) Sarah and Michael stayed after everyone left and we hung out with them the rest of the night, going out to eat and to the movies and all that.
I felt so loved by everyone! When Mitch sent out the announcement of the bbq, he told everyone I was turnig 22. Good thing I have a sister who doesn't miss a beat and clued him in.
Unfortunately, I suck. I didn't take ONE photo of the two wonderful days. But thank you to Mitch for making it amazing, and to everyone who wished me a happy day and came to my barbie.
