P and P

P and P stands for poop and pee. I was pleasantly surprised to realize this morning that Tessa has never pooped or peed on me. She has on herself, when we're not quick enough with the diaper exchange, but not on me. She has peed on Mitch and on grandma. But not mom.
 Little did I know...

We decided to take a bath this afternoon. We take baths to have fun, and showers to get clean. We both showered yesterday, so today was a bath day. At the very beginning, we're sitting in the nice warm water, she's standing on my belly, and then sssssssssssss, she pees all over me. Nice, so I drain all the water out and start to fill it back up. We go on with our bath happily, playing, listening and singing to music and then...explosion. There is green/yellow loose baby stools EVERYWHERE. All over me, and all around us. So I stand up with her, she's resting on my side, and as I start trying to drain the tub another explosion, all down my side. So now I'm holding her out in front of me, standing in poo water and watching it run down my side and my leg. I'm not even mad, just completely shocked.

Then Tessa starts to get mad because I'm holding her out so awkwardly. I didn't even know what to do! I can't turn on the water because I'm trying to drain it, I can't get out because we're both covered in poo. I didn't want to hold her close to me because there's poo all over her, then I think ah whatever I'm already covered. So I do, then bam! ANOTHER explosion all down my other side. Then I start cracking up and I cannot stop laughing. So I'm standing there in poo water both of us covered in poo she's screaming and I'm laughing waiting for the dang water to drain. Finally it does and I turn on the shower, but the water is cold because we used all the hot water for the bath. I'm still laughing, she's still screaming, and we wash off in freezing cold shower.

And today I was officially peed and pooped on.

  1. Ah, the joys of motherhood! The important part is being able to laugh about it!!
