We Adore Month 4!

Tessa is 4 months old! I can't believe it! She's learned a whole lot this past month, and we've learned a lot about her as well
  • She found her feet, and she loves them
  • Her favorite songs are "You Are My Sunshine" and "You Are So Beautiful to Me" she smiles and giggles, especially when daddy sings them to her
  • Loves to stand, she could do it all day. And recently thinks she can do it by herself. She'll just let go of my fingers and start to fall over. No fear.
  • Is trying so hard to sit up, she'll be there very soon
  • Rarely cries, and rarely spits up anymore (hallelujah) I wonder if someone switched babies on us..
  • Doesn't suck on her fingers as much as she just chews on them... or spits on them and rubs it all over her face. So lady like.
  • She can now grab at things, and I was right- the first thing she got was her baby duck (who Mitch has named Sir Quacks-a-lot, Ducksworth, or Quacky McQuackerson.... love him)
  • Everything must go in her mouth
  • LOVES Sesame Street
  • drinks between 2-4 oz every feeding, which is about every 3 hours
  • is very strong (we get that comment all the time) and she can pull herself up from laying down to standing just by holding our fingers
  • really loves to go outside, her arms and legs get going crazy and she just sighs
  • talks all the time
  • is somewhat mobile when she wants to be, I'll come back from leaving the room and she had maneuvered her way into a very different place, and facing completely opposite from before. It looks like she's doing the worm on her back. My goal is to catch it on video, it's very cute.
  • And my very favorite that I am very proud to report: She's a napper! And a sleeper! In her own crib! After a few weeks of incredible patience and lots of tears (for both of us) she now takes 3 naps a day in her crib no problem, and goes to bed in her crib. We put her down for bed around 6pm, she feeds around 2-3 am and sleeps again until 7-8am. Greatest. Ever.

A long one
For the grandparents and great grandparents:

She is wonderful, and we are so grateful we have a healthy, happy baby! Since we got her sleeping all figured out, she is so giggly and talkative. Most of the time I just can't wait for her to wake up so we can play :)
