11 and 12 Months

Playing catch up is harder than I thought. Good thing I'm an excellent note taker or there is NO WAY I could remember all these things. Someday someone will appreciate me and my notes. Here's combined the last 2 months of Tessa:

By 11 Months:

• Says hi to everyone
• Says what's that? (wasat?), Oh yeah (oooo ye), done! (da!)
• Stands by herself
• Loves to try to catch the water coming out of faucets
• Loves the disney castle that shows up before a film, she claps and squeals and bounces on her bum. And looks to make sure you aren't missing it
• Has developed some new dance moves, she waves her arms around and moves her hips from side to side
• Will point to my eye and say EYE! but she will also point to my nose and say eye..we're working on it
• Is getting her 6th tooth

By 12 Months:

• Can take off her own pants (?!)
• Has taken a few steps!
• Hugs and kisses her baby
• Will try to brush her hair and put on lip stuff
• Will giggle very loudly when it's quiet, I think she likes to hear herself more than something is funny
• Is getting her 7th tooth
• Drew on the wall for the first time (with pencil thank goodness)
• Ate a bug (yes, I had to pull parts of it out of her mouth. I will never forget the sight of bug legs sticking out every which way.. dis.gus.ting.) 
• Is very good at speaking her own baby language. She has serious conversations and I just wish I knew what she was talking about!
• HATES putting on shoes
• Can stand herself up in the middle of the room (without pulling herself up onto something)
• Shares her food and toys with us
• Says duck (duh)
• Will point to her baby's, bear's and horse's eye when I ask her to. She will also point to the nose when I ask her to, but still doesn't say "nose"
• Is binky free! I took it away kind of suddenly, when i noticed her two front teeth were making this formation /\ , but obviously less extreme. Maybe it was from the binky, maybe it wasn't, but it was time anyway. She did pretty well, it threw off her naps for about 5 days but that was it!

Oh, also, she does this to about every surface:
